TICKETS

I've bought my ticket. Where can I watch tennis?

One ticket gives you access to all three courts. When you purchase a ticket, that ticket grants you an assigned seat within Stadium Court for the matches during that session. That same ticket allows you to enter Grandstand Court and Court 3 as well as the rest of the entire grounds including the practice courts.

Grandstand Court and Court 3 have a first-come, first-served seating where you can sit close to the action, sometimes in the first row with some luck and planning. Once all the Stadium Court seats have been sold, grounds passes will be available that grant the fan access to Grandstand Court and Court 3. If you are interested in reserving a seat on Grandstand Court, please contact BB&T Atlanta Open Ticket and Sales Manager John McDevitt,

PLAYERS / DRAWS / MATCH SCHEDULING

How is the draw made?

The draw is made the same way at every tournament. First, the seeds (the highest-ranked players in the draw) are placed in the draw (No. 1 on the first line, No. 2 on the last line and then the others in alternating order on pre-determined lines). Once the seeds are in place, the other players are drawn at random and placed on the empty lines -- starting at the top and going down the draw until it is filled.

How is the schedule made?

The schedule is made with input from the ATP World Tour, the players, television and the tournament. The tournament makes requests based on what it feels is in the best interest of the fans.

When is the schedule made?

During each tournament, the schedule is made daily and usually is available around 8 p.m. It is then posted on this web site and is made immediately available to the Tournament Office, the media, etc.

Can you tell me now when a particular player will play?

No. In a single elimination tournament, only one player advances. Since no one knows who will win or lose, no one knows who will play when.

Can I watch matches on other courts?

When you buy a ticket, you buy a reserved seat on Stadium Court. You are also free to watch matches on other courts.

On how many courts are matches played?

Matches are played on three courts: Stadium Court, Court 1 and Court 2. Players can also be viewed on at least three practice courts. All courts are at Atlantic Station.

Can I watch players practice? How do I know who's practicing when and where?

At least three courts at Atlantic Station will be specifically designated as practice courts. All ticket holders will be able to watch players practice after gates are open. The practice court schedule is very fluid because of players' needs and is not posted.
